INSTALLATION

Bamboo Ply can easily be cut to size with normal building tools.

Fixing
Join sheets horizontally or vertically with beading of split cane, bamboo or timber moulding. When using Bamboo Ply in conjunction with exposed beams, plan your job to cover joins with the exposed beams.

Nailing
Use 30x1.8 panel pins. Nailing is to be placed 150mm centres at edges
and 300mm through centres of sheets.

Gluing
Bamboo Ply can be fixed using panel adhesives to manufacturers specification
in conjunction with nailing or by applying adhesive and then pressure until
the adhesive has cured.






Finishing 

We recommend a Resene finish to enhance and protect the natural look of the Bamboo. Test on the reverse side of the sheet.

Surface Preparation
Wipe the substrate with Polythane Brush Cleaner, then wipe with water to remove any residues. Allow to dry before top coating.

Clear Finish
Use Resene Waterborne Colorwood Reducing Base followed by Resene Aquaclear. Follow the instructions for number of coats, application method and dry times as detailed in the product label and data sheet.

Stained Finish
Apply Resene Waterborne Colorwood stain tinted to the colour of your choice. Apply Resene Aquaclear acrylic urethane to protect the substrate and stained finish.

Two Pack Coat System
Apply Resene Uracryl 403 or Resene ArmourCat 822 directly to the Bamboo Ply. Follow the instructions for number of coats, application method and dry times as detailed in the product label and data sheet.
